Welcome To The
Tech Revolution for
Black Women

See how 30,000 Black women worldwide broke the code of the Silicon Valley boy’s club to skyrocket their business into higher profits, more connections and greater visibility using our battle-tested blueprints.

Being a Black woman in tech is like the first time you’ve traveled to a new country where you didn’t know anyone or speak the language.

You feel a bit out of place at times.

You attend exclusive tech events in Silicon Valley, New York City, and Atlanta … you confidently walk into the room with your power suit and a bright lip that screams “CEO.” Still, time and time again, by the end of the event, imposter syndrome has you cornered.

You find yourself wondering:

  • Why does it feel like everyone in the room always wants me to justify my presence? I know I deserve to be here.
  • I’m tired of being one of the few Black women in my professional circle … where are the other Founders who look like me?
  • I’ve been searching for the right introductions to grow my business, but I can’t seem to secure funding or meaningful partnerships … What am I doing wrong?
  • I know I have some opportunities to foster continued growth … Why don’t I feel comfortable enough to ask my questions?

If only self-doubt was the worst of it…

The worst of it is that we live in a world where the wealth disparity for Black women is stark. In fact, today:

  • Black women make 63 cents on a white man’s dollar.
  • Despite making up 13% of the US population, Black people constitute less than 3% of the wealth in this country.
  • In 2020, only 93 women raised Over $1MM in Venture Funding and overall Black founders receive less than 1% of all VC funding.

So, when it comes to scaling your dream and hitting over $500,000 a year in revenue, you know the odds are stacked against you.

Unfortunately, this wealth disparity leaves you with little financial power and feeling stuck in a catch 22 of someone else’s making. This issue is only magnified in the tech, making it even harder for you to find community, secure funding and ultimately get where you want to go with your business.

And with over 1 million tech businesses starting every year, tons of conflicting information on how to grow and investors being even more selective in their money allocation due to COVID…

This makes room for error small and the competition even more fierce.

Sure, you can continue to be the “only one” in the room, swallowing your imposter syndrome and hustling with people who don’t want to see you succeed for another 5 years just to maintain your business…

Or you could stop rolling into the same ring with the same competition (you know the type), fighting over the same investors who never genuinely look your way because they’re a part of the same golf club or their families do Christmas together in Vale every year.

You’re fighting a losing battle, and you deserve more.

You Deserve So Much More

More doors open. More safe spaces. More Founders who look like you. More opportunities and visibility. More investors who are excited to learn about your business. More money and funding.

If you’re committed to scaling your unique tech business and reaching millions of people (while making some serious moolah in the process), then you need to surround yourself with the right community ASAP.

Why compete for hollow connections and Kickstarter funding that’s at the mercy of your friends and family resharing it – PLUS, it won’t get you any closer to that “take care of my family” type money – when you can sit confidently in your vision and business while investors, potential partners and customers vie for your attention?

Because to you, your business is more than a job.

It’s a source of connection, wealth creation and legacy for your family, your community and your customers for years and generations to come. It’s a chance to make a difference.

That’s why your gut has been telling you that it’s not the time to take your foot off the gas even through these challenging times. It just means you need to get even more intentional with your actions.

Every Successful Founder Who’s Done Just That Will Tell You...

Startups don’t grow by luck. Your business won’t hit jaw-dropping profits or attract the eyes of investors unless you have access to the right people (we can help with this), training, processes and best practices to help you navigate the tech industry as a Black woman.

Good news: you don’t have to wait a decade to become a sought-after founder and work with partners you admire.

For better or worse, thousands of women founders in tech have been in your shoes (yep, us too).

We’ve been the “only one” in rooms. We’ve dealt with the assumptions and plenty of people telling us no… and no amount of googling can give you the “water cooler knowledge” and experience of working with VC firms and unicorn founders directly, so we wanted to share this knowledge.

Fortune 500 companies like Amazon, Salesforce, and Microsoft tap into this
pipeline of over 30,000 Black women Founders every year.

Introducing….

All led by two Black Women Founders who were in your shoes in 2012, when there wasn’t a roadmap for being a Black Woman in Tech.

Curated for Black women, by Black women

Hey! I’m Esosa, and I’m one of the Co-Founders of Black Women Talk Tech.

Before teaching and mentoring over 30,000 women through BWTT, running our award-winning Road to Billions conference sponsored by Google, and leading our Membership program of over 2,500+ women to grow their businesses …

I was stuck in a loop of going to conferences where I attempted to make meaningful connections despite being the only Black woman in the room, and I was searching for a network that supported me.

Then at one of those conferences, I met Regina Gwynn (my now co-founder), where we became fast friends by bonding over our united struggles of navigating tech.

We figured there had to be other Black women in tech who were tired of being the only one in the room, who wanted to have other women in her circle who understand her, who want to grow and scale together. Spoiler Alert: hundreds of thousands of Black Women were looking for more in tech, and the rest is history!

I have over 15 years of marketing, operation and entrepreneurial experience leading two thriving influencer marketing businesses before starting BWTT. In what seems like a past life, I was a former executive at Citigroup, where I developed high-performing growth strategies and oversaw implementation for critical lines of business.

I live in New York, NY, with my husband and we enjoy fashion, travel and food.

What’s up? I’m Regina … the other half of the dynamic duo who founded Black Women Talk Tech.

Along with leading the BWTT membership, I lead business strategy, strategic partnership development and lead sponsor relations… AKA, I’m the person working with industry goliaths, so I know the ins and outs of what gets the checks signed and the deal closed.

Before BWTT, I started my career in Product Development at Macy’s Inc. and was a consultant with Deloitte before finding my passion in tech.
In 2014, I launched a startup with TresseNoire, a platform designed for Black women to celebrate their hair and match their hair profile to a beauty regimen (currently in private beta). This experience showed me firsthand the gaps in opportunity for Black women and tech … so I decided to do something about it after hearing Esosa’s story too.

When I’m not meeting with different founders or Google and Amazon to talk about BWTT partnerships, I love to travel, dance and watch football (Go Giants!).

Here’s what you’ll learn inside:
